Description
Failure and internal delamination of the of the Land Rover Hazard Switch #AFU4209L (for NAS/North American Spec vehicles), and #YUF101490 (for imported ROW/Rest Of World vehicles) is a common issue.
Our harness combines the reliability of the Carling Hazard Switch with an easy way to swap out your old hazard switch with our plug-and-play replacement to proactively avoid potential issues going forward, or correct/replace a hazard switch that has already failed. We utilize specialty 3.0mm male pin connectors on the end of the harness that specifically mate up directly into the female openings in the Rover hazard plug.
This harness is a neat and tidy way to changeover to a Carling Hazard, and comes with a color-coded set of instructions/legend for each wire; in addition the end of each wire is clearly labeled, and also includes a visual diagram to also show you where to plug each connector.
For the NAS vehicles, we suggest using one of our "Dash Face Plates" that is suitable to accept Carling Switches and keeps the hazard switch in the "center dash" area, generally either one of the following:
- Dash Center Face Plate Panel [NAS config change to Carling Hazard]
- Dash Center Face Plate Panel [changes to (2) 12V-sockets & (4) Carling Switches]
- Dash Center Face Plate Panel [changes to (6) Carling Switches]
For the Right-Hand Drive ROW vehicles, we suggest using one of our "Lower Dash Switch Plate" that upgrades the original switch plate #MTC2640 to an aluminum plate that holds (3) Carling switches:
- RHD Lower Dash Switch Plate Panel [3 Carling Switches]
***INCLUDES your choice of either a black or red Carling Hazard Switch & Carling Multiplug Connector.
NOTE: Fits 1983-1999 original Defender only.
